Korean Lash Lift
A flat-shield technique for coarse, dense, downward-growing and resistant lashes. It gives length and projection, lashes lifted up and out, rather than a curl.
What Makes It Different
A traditional lift wraps the lashes around a curved rod or shield to build a curl. The Korean method works the other way: the lifting lotion is thickened with Elleemix Powder and applied onto a flat silicone shield placed just above the lash line, and the lashes are swept upward onto it. They soften while already stretched upright, so the reshaping starts from the very first step. Cling film over the top holds them in position.
Once the lashes have softened, they come off the flat shield and are re-wrapped onto a rod or shield to set, with a setting lotion that is thickened too. The viscosity controller is required in both steps: in Step 1 it keeps the lashes upright while they soften, and in Step 2 it holds them while they set.
The result is a strong, defined root lift with lashes that look longer, extended and separated. That is why it suits monolid and hooded eyes, where a curl can fold under the lid. It is not the right choice for a client who wants a classic, soft curl, and it takes more time, care and precision than a traditional lift.

How the Korean Lash Lift Works
Thicken and place
Step 1
Elleeplex Profusion lifting lotion is thickened with Elleemix Powder and applied onto an Ultra Flex Flat Shield set just above the lash line.
Sweep up
Relax upward
The lashes are swept upward onto the flat shield and covered with cling film, so they soften while stretched upright.
Check and re-wrap
Midway
Flexibility is checked as they process. Once softened, the lashes are re-wrapped onto a rod or hybrid shield for the final shape.
Thicken and set
Step 2
A setting lotion thickened with Elleemix Powder holds the lashes in place while it sets the new shape.
Elleeplex Profusion is the recommended system: its cysteamine chemistry suits the longer, flat processing. Brik & Pearl also works for this method, thickened with Elleemix Powder in the same way, though it needs slightly less. Elleebana One Shot is not preferred for this method, because cling film and full saturation can push its fast chemistry into over-processing. Follow each product's current directions, contraindications and patch-testing requirements. Processing times are guides: judge readiness with flex and set checks, not the clock.

Why is Elleemix Powder used in both steps?
In Step 1 it keeps the lifting lotion exactly where it is placed and holds the lashes upright on the flat shield while they soften. In Step 2 it holds the lashes in place while they set. Thickened lotion also processes more slowly, which is why flex checks matter more than the clock.
Can I use Elleebana One Shot for the Korean method?
It is not the preferred option. The method relies on cling film and full lotion saturation, which can push fast thioglycolate chemistry like One Shot into over-processing. Elleeplex Profusion is the recommended system.
Is the Korean method safer because it is glueless?
Not inherently. It avoids traditional lash lift adhesive, but safety comes from the artist's technique and product choice, not the name of the method.
