Lash & Brow Techniques
Every lift and lamination runs on reduction then oxidation: Step 1 softens and Step 2 sets. The techniques differ in the order, in which way the lashes relax, in what holds them, and in whether the tint goes in with the set. Choose the method for the client's lashes, not the other way around.
Four Ways to Lift
Korean Lash Lift
Lashes softened upright on a flat shield with thickened lotion, for length and projection on coarse, dense or downward-growing lashes.
ExploreFreestyle Lash Lift
Lifting lotion goes on while lashes rest downward, for a gentler, lower-tension lift on fine, fragile, curly, slippery or resistant lashes.
ExploreGlueless Lash Lift
The Freestyle order, with the hold coming from a thickened Step 2 setting lotion instead of glue.
ExploreHybrid Lash Lift
The Korean method on one rod or hybrid shield from start to finish: fewer steps, and a rounder curl.
ExploreMonofusion™
Step 2 setting lotion and tint mixed 1:1, so lashes and brows are set and colored in one controlled phase.
ExploreHow They Compare
Korean
How it works
Thickened lotion on a flat shield, lashes swept up; re-wrapped to set with thickened Step 2.
Best suited to
Coarse, dense, downward-growing or resistant lashes; lifts that dropped early; monolid and hooded eyes.
Recommended system
Elleeplex Profusion or Brik & Pearl, with Elleemix Powder in both steps. One Shot is not preferred.
Freestyle
How it works
Step 1 applied while lashes rest downward, then wrapped once soft.
Best suited to
Fine-to-medium, fragile or over-processed, naturally curly and slip or pop-off lashes.
Recommended system
Elleeplex Profusion or Brik & Pearl. One Shot only with advanced control.
Glueless
How it works
Freestyle order; the thickened Step 2 setting lotion holds the wrap.
Best suited to
Fine-to-medium, fragile or over-processed lashes, and lashes that slip off the shield.
Recommended system
Elleeplex Profusion or Brik & Pearl, with Elleemix Powder in Step 2.
Hybrid
How it works
Korean order, but the lashes soften on a rod or hybrid shield from Step 1.
Best suited to
Korean candidates who want a rounder curl rather than a flat, extended lift.
Recommended system
Elleeplex Profusion or Brik & Pearl, with Elleemix Powder in both steps.
Monofusion
How it works
Step 2 and tint mixed 1:1; flat shield for Step 1, then a hybrid shield for set and tint.
Best suited to
Lash lifts and brow laminations where set and color are planned together.
Recommended system
Brik & Pearl or Elleeplex Profusion, with Belmacil tint.
Learn Each One Properly
Every one of these techniques takes hands-on practice before it goes on a menu. The Korean, freestyle and adhesive-free methods are covered in the Elleebana Korean Lash Lift Techniques course, online or in person, and The Art of the Lift webinar walks through freestyle, Korean and glueless lifting.
